HAC’S YES Program

It is recommended that kids have 60 minutes of physical activity every day. Between the pools, maze, arcade, gymnasium, and programming, HAC has made it a goal to have everything your child needs to remain active. The programming added to the Youth Enrichment and Sports Program, also known as the YES Program, was done so with this in mind.

Our Programs

Dance

IMG_9036.JPGThe HAC School of Dance welcomes you to the wonderful world of dance. Our dance program will instill confidence, self-esteem and provide discipline for dancers of all levels. We are staffed with professional instructors and have state of the art studios with floating dance floors and two way mirrors. Our curriculum can accommodate the beginner to advanced student with performing opportunities available through our performance teams.

Martial Arts helps the development of children at each stage of their life – From enhancing listening skills, motor coordination and discipline, to increasing self-esteem, confidence, and important leadership skills.

Tumbling

IMG_9493.JPGOur curriculum is a progressive tumbling program that will enable your child to develop their own skills at their own pace. Skills to include forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, handstands, headstands, and back bends, as well as the more advanced moves of walkovers and handsprings. The children will work in circuits as to keep moving during the entire class with very little to no stationary time. This is an exciting new program to include traditional floor tumbling elements as well as acrobatic techniques and skills such as chest stands, forearm stands and chest rolls to name a few.

Kid’s Yoga

IMG_6046.JPGKids’ Yoga is – a discovery of yoga, self and the world. Child Yoga classes engage children through movement exploration, music, theme-related games and inspired Yoga-play to capture their attention and their imaginations as they refine their motor skills and understanding. Classes end with visual imagery and relaxation exercises, teaching children to quiet both mind and body. During each session, teachers focus on thematic ideas such as peace, respect, gratitude and healthy living, presented at an age-appropriate level, expanding upon them as children become capable of deeper awareness and comprehension.

Youth Sports

DSC_8617.JPGThe HAC Youth Sports program focuses on development through play. We strongly believe in the benefits that sports provide children, not only in exercise and healthy activity, but in self-confidence, team work, responsibility, discipline, accountability, and more. HAC Youth Sports coaches strive to provide a safe and fun atmosphere, while instructing on both technique and life-skill.

Youth Sports and Yoga run in eight week sessions so that your child can sample a variety of activities. Sports offered in the fall include flag football, t-ball, lacrosse, field
hockey, dodgeball, indoor soccer, outdoor soccer, basketball, inline skating, volleyball, and youth yoga.

All children ages 3-13 on a HAC family membership receive one weekly class for the nine month session (Martial Arts, Dance, Acro Tumbling, and Spanish) and one weekly class for each session of youth sports or yoga.
